Ten entrepreneurial projects from the teams participating in the “Eastern Entrepreneurs” programme have progressed to the “Entrepreneurs Competition” stage, the final stage of the programme which the Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association (“SYEA”) launched in cooperation with Total Exploration and Products in mid-April last year. The programme seeks to motivate young Syrian entrepreneurs in the three Eastern provinces (Deir Azour, Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqah) and assist them in implementing their small and medium-sized projects by providing them with the basic tools to transform their project ideas into effective businesses in the economic market.

With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association (“SYEA”) held a Sahour banquet attended by the President and Members of the Board, SYEA members and a number of guests in Narenj Restaurant in Old Damascus.

Three female entrepreneurs participating in Ventures have taken out the program’s top three prizes, with Einas Isa winning the prize of one million Syria pounds for her entrepreneurial educational project “Arabic audio books”. Honorary prizes went to Aida Khalil, for her “Centre for Qualification and Training” project, and Reem Al-Bawabeeji for her “Infant nursing model”, with all three groups receiving a year’s free membership with SYEA.
