Al-Tabah: Entrepreneurship aims to uncover the opportunities which are offered by modern sciences and technologies

The Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association (“SYEA”) organised, in cooperation with the Syrian Emigrant Scientists and Inventors Network (“NUSTEA”), a workshop called “Nanosciences and Nanotechnology” and run by Italian professor Maurice Vermigilia.

The Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association (“SYEA”) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the company “What’s New”, a pilot entrepreneurial-cultural project.

The Memorandum of Understanding provides for SYEA’s embracing of the project and assistance for it in launching by drawing on SYEA’s network and resources to secure material and moral necessities, until they are able to stand on their own feet.

The Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association convened an open discussion with Mr. John Sullivan, Executive Chairman of the Centre for International Private Enterprise, titled “Entrepreneurship... Youth Leadership and Economic Growth”. Attending the meeting was a group of economic experts and entrepreneurs in Syria, development experts, businessmen, and individuals from government including Mr. Abdullah Mujahid, General Manager of the Public Agency for Operating and Developing Projects.

President of SYEA’s Board Abdulsalam Haykal and Co-President Karim Tabah have been selected among the members for the Jury of the “Best Arab Business Plan” competition, which involves a prize amounting to fifty thousand U.S. dollars and aims to encourage young enterprising Arabs to establish private companies.
